Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking a SCADA Specialist to perform real time SCADA system support and administration for a Pipeline SCADA system. This position interacts with Pipeline Control to ensure they can control and monitor pipelines safely and securely through SCADA HMI systems.

The SCADA Specialist will work with Field Personnel on integrating RTUs and PLCs that are needed for real time data. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Engineering (or equivalent), 2-5 years of

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
• 2-5 years of experience with SCADA systems.
• Experience with Windows OS and server administration.
• Knowledge of measurement technologies, process control automation, device protocols, networking, and telecommunications.
• CygNet SCADA experience is a plus.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• System configuration and administration.
• Databases and graphical displays for control center operations.
• System interfaces, business data processes, and reporting.
• Coordinate with field personnel on SCADA integration.
• Participate in lineouts testing to meet regulatory requirements.
• Test and troubleshoot data polling between SCADA and remote PLCs/RTUs.
• Ensure the SCADA application provides safe pipeline operation.
• Provide 24x7 support on a rotating basis.
• Document changes and obtain approvals.
• Other duties as required.
