Job summary

Merit Controls is seeking a Service Engineer to diagnose and resolve complex issues across SCADA, controls, and network platforms. You will serve as the primary technical liaison with customers and third parties, coordinating with internal teams, asset management, and OEM partners to ensure prompt resolution within SLA commitments.

The role emphasizes field readiness, knowledge sharing, and ongoing training to strengthen our renewable energy technology offerings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in CS, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving complex IT/OT incidents on SCADA, network, and control systems.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with customers, partners, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot Level 1–3 technical issues related to computer systems, network, firewalls, controls, SCADA and hardware.
• Coordinate with third-party 24/7 service desk for escalation handovers and guidance.
• Travel to customer sites on short notice as required.
• Perform system maintenance: operation, patching, updates, backups.
• Maintain repositories of issues, solutions, and system configurations for fast incident resolution.
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders about incidents, maintenance, and downtime.
• Mentor Level 1 engineers and contribute to training sessions.
