Job summary

O.C. Tanner is seeking an Engineering Technician to perform PLC programming and help implement a SCADA (Ignition) platform to enable users to control and monitor PLCs and other devices.

Responsibilities include PLC/HMI programming, integrating PLCs with other machine controls, and mentoring Maintenance Technicians. Onsite Monday–Friday with strong collaboration across engineering and maintenance teams; comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience with PLC Programmable Logic Controllers.
• 3+ years’ experience with Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Experience with automation hardware and sensors.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• PLC and HMI programming for machinery using Automation Direct PLC controls and systems.
• Integrate PLCs and PCs with other machine controls to perform required operations.
• Develop and oversee installation and operation of equipment and systems.
• Mentor and train other Maintenance Technicians on PLC and SCADA systems.
• Collaborate with Engineers to develop equipment and controls.
• Other duties as assigned.
