Job summary

Edison Smart® in the United States is seeking a controls engineer to develop, program, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI-based control systems for critical data centre environments. You will design, implement, and maintain structured, reliable PLC and SCADA software and create intuitive HMI interfaces to enhance operator experience.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
3–7+ years of hands-on experience in controls engineering, including programming, troubleshooting, commissioning, and system support.

Responsibilities

Develop, program, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI-based control systems.
Design, implement, and maintain structured, well-documented, and reliable PLC and SCADA software.
Create intuitive, user-friendly, and visually appealing HMI interfaces that enhance the operator experience.
Collaborate with clients to identify technical challenges, provide solutions, and deliver exceptional support.
Support system commissioning, testing, and optimisation activities as required.
