Job description

We are seeking a proficient and results-driven SCADA / HMI / Automation Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining SCADA, HMI, and industrial automation systems across diverse industrial environments. This role demands a solid understanding of PLC programming, control systems integration, and network communications within process automation frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy SCADA and HMI systems using platforms such as Wonderware, Ignition, WinCC, iFIX, and FactoryTalk.
• Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLCs from manufacturers such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, and Mitsubishi.
• Implement and maintain industrial communication protocols including Modbus, OPC-UA/DA, Profibus, and Ethernet/IP.
• Integrate field instrumentation, control panels, and I/O modules for real-time process control.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of automation systems across mechanical, electrical, and IT domains.
• Execute Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), including commissioning and detailed documentation.
• Ensure compliance with industrial cybersecurity standards and implement system redundancy and failover strategies where applicable.

Core Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in SCADA/HMI development and industrial automation.
• Strong proficiency in PLC programming and control panel design.
• In-depth understanding of industrial network protocols and automation standards.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex automation issues in live production environments.
• Experience with cloud-connected SCADA systems or Industry 4.0 integration strategies.
• Proficiency in Ignition (Inductive Automation) or other web-based SCADA platforms.
• Exposure to Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and historian solutions (e.g., OSIsoft PI, AVEVA Historian).
• Prior work experience in highly regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals, oil & gas, or food & beverage is advantageous.
