Job summary

Leidos in South Plainfield, NJ, is hiring a SCADA Engineer to support development and testing of advanced OT solutions for electric utility systems. You will work with SCADA, ADMS, DERMS, relays, and real-time simulation platforms, contributing to grid modernization and cybersecurity testing.

The role is onsite three days a week (Tue–Thu), with a salary range of $130,000–$143,000 per year. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure governance and delivery standards are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field with 4+ years of experience.
• Strong electrical engineering and power systems foundation.
• Experience with SCADA, ADMS, OMS, DMS, or related OT systems.
• Knowledge of SCADA communications and real-time simulation.
• Proficient in laboratory, systems integration and testing environments.
• Ability to work onsite and in fast-paced operational settings.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve SCADA and OT system issues.
• Support SCADA integration, testing, upgrades, migrations, and platform modernization.
• Integrate SCADA systems, relays, protection devices, and real-time simulation tools in lab environments.
• Support real-time simulation and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing.
• Build and test workflows across SCADA, DERMS, ADMS, and related platforms.
• Support testing and validation of DERs, inverters, and emerging grid technologies.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, test procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Collaborate with engineering, IT/OT, cybersecurity, and utility stakeholders.
• Support system monitoring, log analysis, root cause analysis, and cybersecurity testing.
