Job summary

Intersect is seeking a SCADA Engineer to support real-time control systems for its fast-growing energy and data center fleet. You will maintain Ignition SCADA HMIs, diagnostics, and alarms, troubleshoot communications, and support OT network security and telemetry integration across ERCOT markets.

The role involves collaborating with trading, engineering, and field operations to ensure fleet uptime, reliability, and standardization across facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer or Systems Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5+ years hands-on SCADA/controls for utility-scale assets.
• Experience with Inductive Automation Ignition SCADA platform and HMI interfaces.
• Proficient with industrial protocols (ICCP, DNP3, Modbus, MQTT, IEC 61850).
• Experience programming/troubleshooting SEL RTACs, PLCs, protection relays, PPC.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on SCADA support and maintenance for Ignition HMIs, alarms, and workflows.
• Diagnose and resolve plant communications and control system issues under time pressure.
• Support OT security and ISO telemetry integration across ERCOT/CAISO/PJM markets.
• Assist in building out Intersect's IOC with data mapping, alarm management, and version control.
• Support FAT/SAT and commissioning activities for new sites.
