Job summary

Calderwood is seeking a SCADA/Controls Engineer to ensure reliability, configuration, and maintenance of the SCADA system across multiple power plants in the PJM/ROC region. The role includes field travel, interfacing with NSCC, and coordinating with regional managers to maintain uptime and compliance with regulations.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree in a relevant field and hands-on experience with Allen Bradley, ABB, and Siemens environments, plus data handling and reporting skills.

Qualifications

• Assoc. degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, Computer Science or related field.
• Equivalent experience or training will be considered.
• Experience in Industrial Networking is preferred.
• Experience in the power industry is preferred.
• Technical knowledge of SCADA system operations, subsystems, networks, protocols, and regulations.
• Experience working with databases.
• Experience working in an Allen Bradley environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage upgrade projects and program changes for Industrial Control Systems, deploying patches and configuring servers and equipment to ensure NERC/FERC compliance.
• Support SCADA software development, including graphical screens for real-time data, trends, alarm management, and interfaces for set point entry.
• Perform system and database backups and provide data retrieval and reporting support.
• Develop, maintain and validate data; coordinate with NSCC for commissioning of SCADA data points.
• Coordinate with remote assets, NSCC and regional Project Managers on major SCADA projects.
• Integrate new assets, field devices and acquisitions into the PI database and control center.
