Job summary

Ursa Major, in Colorado, seeks a SCADA-focused Controls Engineer II to design and maintain a custom SCADA platform across cutting-edge propulsion manufacturing facilities. You’ll work with PLC/I&C and manufacturing teams from concept to validation, building robust data flows and operator-focused HMIs to support safe, efficient production.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Ignition SCADA & HMI or similar platforms.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop Ursa Major’s SCADA platform for advanced, digitally integrated manufacturing.
• Be an active stakeholder in developing and improving SCADA standards across multiple facilities.
• Design operator-first HMI for equipment operation using Ignition and Siemens TIA Portal.
• Create robust data pathways between platforms and data aggregation.
• Generate documentation and work instructions for operation and maintenance.
