Job summary

Veolia North America seeks a Controls Systems Engineer to support SCADA-enabled water and wastewater facilities across New York. You will maintain, troubleshoot and enhance plant control systems hardware/software, ensure cyber security compliance, and coordinate with vendors and internal teams.

Travel to remote sites as needed; night/weekend coverage may be required. Strong PLC/HMI experience with Rockwell, GE Proficy, or GeoSCADA is essential.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Engineering or related technical field or 5+ years of experience.
• Experience in water or wastewater treatment plants and system facilities is preferred.
• Experience with PLC/HMI systems required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot control systems to support reliable plant operations.
• Ensure cyber security rules and Veolia standards are followed.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams on system changes and maintenance.
• Travel to remote locations to troubleshoot and repair control systems as needed.
• Provide root cause analysis and implement best resolution options.
