Job summary

Energy Transfer in Houston seeks a SCADA/IT Engineer to support control center operations, project integration and field communications. You will learn standards, work with the Engineering Department and provide 24x7 support on a rotational basis, applying strong problem-solving and programming practices.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in CS/engineering or equivalent, 0–2+ years SCADA experience, and familiarity with Windows, networking, and data structures. OASyS DNA experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent; experience can substitute.
• 0–2+ years of SCADA experience.
• OASyS DNA SCADA experience is a plus; other SCADA systems acceptable.
• Knowledge of measurement tech, process control automation, networking, and telecom.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and multitasking abilities.
• Good programming practices and testing; Windows OS familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Learn standards, procedures and team roles; contribute to team goals.
• Support IT SCADA management and report status on assigned tasks.
• Gather knowledge on tools and procedures; work with networks and field devices.
• Participate in CAT and point-to-point testing for regulatory compliance.
• Document changes, obtain approvals and implement changes.
• Provide 24x7 control center support on a rotational basis.
