Job summary

Russell Taylor is seeking a SC-cleared groundworker for the Chester site to perform a range of groundworks and installation tasks. The role requires valid security clearance and CSCS card, with experience in secure environments and strict health and safety standards.

You will operate basic machinery, coordinate with supervisors, keep accurate site records, and ensure secure storage of tools and materials while reporting hazards promptly.

• Operate and maintain construction tools and machinery safely and efficiently.
• Assist with the installation of infrastructure components such as fencing, drainage systems, and foundations.
• Follow detailed safety protocols and always ensure compliance with security clearance requirements.
• Collaborate with site supervisors and team members to coordinate tasks effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and site conditions.
• Support site cleanup and ensure the secure storage of tools, equipment, and materials.
• Report any safety hazards or security concerns immediately to supervisory personnel.

Skills

• Valid SC (Security Check) clearance with current certification is essential.
• CSCS trade card is essential
• Proven experience in groundworks or construction-related roles within secure environments.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites.
• Proficiency in operating basic construction machinery and hand tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and adherence to procedural instructions.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
