Job summary

NewtekOne is seeking a Credit Analyst to support Underwriters in managing credit risk by preparing financial spreads, reviewing tax returns, and assisting with SBA microloan credit memorandums.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or Economics, plus strong Excel/Word skills and the ability to organize and clearly present financial information to internal partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, or related field.
• Proficiency with Excel and Word and financial spreading software.
• Experience in analyzing tax transcripts and credit reports.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Underwriters in analyzing credit risk and creating financial spreads.
• Spread borrower tax returns and financial statements using designated software and Excel.
• Prepare sections of credit memorandums for Underwriter review, including reports and spreads.
• Prepare full credit memorandums for SBA microloan requests.
• Review tax transcripts to validate borrower information.
• Pull and compile due diligence reports and credit reports.
• Ensure accuracy and organize electronic credit files and documentation.
• Communicate findings and follow up with Underwriters and stakeholders.
• Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.
