Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a qualified SBA Construction Loan Administrator to review, coordinate, and administer SBA construction and renovation loan transactions in Charlotte, NC.

You will ensure compliance with SBA programs, bank policy, and documentation standards throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities include overseeing construction draw disbursements, lien perfection, and communicating with borrowers, attorneys, and service providers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Typically two to three years of experience in commercial real estate loan administration, OR at least five years of transferable experience in commercial loan administration
• Working knowledge of SBA lending programs (7(a) and/or 504), including construction, renovation, and leasehold improvement financing
• Familiarity with SBA authorization terms, use‑of‑proceeds rules, lien and collateral requirements, and disbursement controls
• Experience with construction draw administration, including budget review, third‑party inspections, lien waivers, and title updates
• Ability to meet requirements to be commissioned as a Notary Public
• Bachelor’s degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Review, coordinate, and administer SBA construction and renovation loan transactions
• Ensure compliance with SBA 7(a)/504 program requirements, bank credit policy, and loan documentation standards
• Oversee construction loan documentation, lien perfection, and disbursement administration from loan approval through project completion and final servicing conversion
• Coordinate with Relationship Managers, SBA Underwriters, and Loan Administrators; serve as primary liaison with borrowers, attorneys, construction consultants, title companies, and SBA service providers
• Ensure adherence to SBA authorization terms, eligibility requirements, use‑of‑proceeds limitations, and post‑approval conditions; meet notary commission requirements
