Job summary

The Carter Bank & Trust is seeking an SBA Loan Closer in Greensboro, NC to manage SBA 7(a) closings from conditional approval through funding. You will coordinate with borrowers, attorneys, title companies, and SBA Relationship Managers to ensure closings occur accurately and on schedule.

Responsibilities include preparing closing packages, reviewing SBA authorization documents, and ensuring compliance with SBA SOP requirements and internal policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior SBA 7(a) loan closing experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage SBA 7(a) closings from conditional approval through funding.
• Order title, coordinate appraisals, and prepare closing checklists.
• Review SBA authorization documents and ensure all conditions are satisfied prior to closing.
• Prepare and review closing packages in compliance with SBA SOP requirements and internal closing policy.
• Coordinate directly with borrowers, attorneys, title companies, and RMs to resolve open items and schedule closings.
• Ensure timely funding and accurate disbursement of loan proceeds.
• Verify that all closing documentation meets SBA and lender requirements before funding.
• Maintain complete and organized closing files throughout the transaction lifecycle.
• Support post-closing processes including SBA note registration, file delivery to servicing, and guarantee purchase documentation.
• Stay current on SBA SOP closing requirements and internal policy updates.
