Job summary

KEITH Walking Floor Systems in Madras, Oregon, is seeking reliable team members to operate and set up manual and semiautomatic saws in a lean manufacturing environment.

Shift 5:00am–3:30pm, Monday–Thursday; overtime may be required. Responsibilities include verifying dimensions, monitoring materials, basic maintenance, and contributing to production goals with emphasis on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to communicate in English.
• May be required to pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Sawyer experience preferred.
• Able to read a tape measure, pressure gauge, level and square.
• Able to follow directions and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Able to prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual and semiautomatic saws.
• Determine the best cutting method and verify dimensions against specifications.
• Monitor and order raw materials.
• Clean coolant off sawn parts.
• Perform basic saw maintenance and cleaning.
• Operate required machinery in the area.
• Understand proper quality saw standards.
• May perform machine tending duties to support production needs.
• Meet manufacturing goals in a timely manner.
• Other duties may be assigned.

KEITH Walking Floor Systems provide horizontal loading/unloading solutions for bulk materials, pallets, bales and rolls. The company’s state-of-the-art production facility in Madras, Oregon operates using Lean Manufacturing practices. We are seeking high performance team members with a commitment to quality work with a positive attitude.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for setting up and operating manual and semiautomatic saws.
• Determine the best method to use for cutting material and verifying dimensions on finished products for adherence to specifications.
• Involved in monitoring and ordering raw materials.
• Responsible for cleaning coolant off sawn parts.
• Responsible for basic saw maintenance and cleaning.
• Able to operate required machinery in the area.
• Understands proper quality saw standards.
• May perform machine tending duties, serving as a floater to support production needs and maintain productivity.
• Meets agreed upon manufacturing goals in a timely manner.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Able to communicate in English with team members (Speak and reading, writing ability required.)
• May be required to pass employer performance tests including pre-employment drug screening.
• Sawyer experience preferred.
• Able to read a tape measure, pressure gauge, level and square.
• Ability and willingness to follow directions as well as the ability to work independently requiring little or no supervision.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future.
