Job summary

West Fraser in Seaboard, North Carolina is seeking a Sawmill Supervisor to lead, train, and develop hourly personnel while managing process flow and resources to meet budgets and performance objectives.

You will oversee the day-to-day sawmill operations, establish and maintain production and quality standards, and optimize production, scheduling, and asset utilization, all while upholding strong safety practices.

Qualifications

• Quality-control experience required.
• Strong team-building and motivational skills.
• Understanding of accounting and financial metrics for a sawmill operation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet targets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Minimum education: High school diploma or GED.
