Job summary

Interfor is seeking motivated and safety-conscious individuals to join our Sawmill Production Team in Baxley, Georgia. The successful candidates will be reliable, committed to growth, and eager to take on roles including general labor, machine operators, and forklift operators.

The starting rate for this position is $18.95 per hour with the potential to grow to $28.38 per hour based on skill level and experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing or lumber operations preferred.
• Willing to work in varying seasonal climate conditions.
• Team-oriented with a commitment to safety.
• Ability to perform physical tasks up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Clean-up and ground maintenance of assigned area.
• Assist with keeping lumber flow by straightening lumber cross-ups using a pickaxe or chainsaw as necessary.
• Develop skills across various machine centers and grow within the company.
• Perform other work-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

What You’ll Do

• Complete clean-up and ground maintenance of regularly assigned area.
• Assist with keeping a steady flow of lumber throughout the mill by straightening lumber cross-ups using a pickaxe or chain saw, as necessary.
• Develop skills across various machine centers and take on new responsibilities as you grow within the company.
• Perform any other work-related task deemed necessary by the supervisor.

What You Offer
