Job summary

The Lumber Manufactory, Inc. in New Albany, MS is hiring Machine Operators to run saws, conveyors, and sorting equipment at the mill. This full-time on-site role offers starting pay of $16+ per hour, on-the-job training, and opportunities to grow as you help turn logs into high-grade lumber.

Qualifications

• Experience running industrial, manufacturing, or sawmill equipment is a plus.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting.
• Attention to detail and comfort in a fast-paced, physical environment.
• Dependable attendance and reliable transportation to the mill.
• Able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate sawmill machinery, including saws, conveyors, and sorting systems
• Feed and align logs, and adjust settings to keep production running smoothly
• Check logs and lumber for quality as they move through the line
• Handle routine upkeep and minor fixes, and report bigger issues to maintenance
• Follow safety procedures and lockout/tagout every time
