Job summary

The Lumber Manufactory, Inc. is hiring Equipment Operators to run heavy yard equipment at our New Albany mill and yard in Mississippi. You will load/unload trucks, move logs and lumber, and perform daily inspections while keeping safety as a priority.

We offer full-time schedules with multiple shifts, on-site work, and paying starting at $16+ per hour with training and certification provided. After onboarding, you’ll join a team building essential timber products for a growing industry.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment in an industrial, construction, or yard setting.
• Ability to work safely and follow hazard Prevention protocols.
• Must be able to pass a background check and maintain reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Operate loaders, forklifts, and yard equipment to move logs and lumber.
• Load and unload trucks and keep the yard organized.
• Perform daily inspections and routine checks on equipment.
• Report mechanical issues or safety hazards immediately.
• Coordinate with production and yard crews to maintain material flow.

The Lumber Manufactory (TLM) is building the future of sustainable lumber with next-generation sawmill technology. We design and operate state-of-the-art modular sawmills that produce high-grade dimensional wood products with greater efficiency and less waste. We're hiring Equipment Operators to run the heavy equipment that keeps logs and lumber moving through our New Albany mill and yard. If you've run loaders or other heavy machinery and take pride in doing it safely, we want to talk to you.

What you'll do

• Operate loaders, forklifts, and other yard equipment to move logs and lumber

• Load and unload trucks, and keep the yard organized

• Do daily inspections and routine checks on your equipment

• Report mechanical issues or safety hazards right away

• Work with production and yard crews to keep material flowing

What we're looking for

• Experience running heavy equipment in an industrial, construction, or yard setting

• Equipment operator certification is a plus

• Strong safety habits and attention to detail

• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather

• Dependable attendance, reliable transportation, and able to pass a background check

Schedule and pay: Full-time. Multiple shifts available, including days. We'll talk through what works for you during your interview. Starting pay $16+/hr. Training and certification provided.

Location: On site at our mill in New Albany, Mississippi.
