Job summary

Vaagen Bros. Lumber Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Planner to optimize maintenance scheduling and asset management at our Colville, WA facilities. The role focuses on coordination of labor, parts, and CMMS-driven workflows in a fast-paced wood products environment.

The ideal candidate will leverage data to improve productivity, meet deadlines, and support Lean transformation efforts across sawmills and maintenance teams. This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Proficiency with CMMS platforms (SAP PM/Maximo/Business Central) and Microsoft 365.
• Strong project management with a track record of successful system deployments.
• Knowledge of maintenance management, inventory control, and asset lifecycle processes.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data for decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate labor, equipment, and parts for maintenance tasks.
• Review work requests, clarify scope, set priorities, and maintain a ready-to-schedule backlog.
• Identify and stage parts before work begins.
• Schedule external contractors with maintenance teams.
• Be the CMMS subject-matter expert and train others.
• Configure CMMS for work orders, preventive maintenance, and asset tracking.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and support metrics tracking.
• Ensure a clean, safe work area and proper tool locations.
