Job summary

Weyerhaeuser is seeking an experienced Sawmill Supervisor Trainee in Dodson, LA to join the front-line leadership pipeline. You will train across shifts in a 24/7 environment, participate in safety and leadership development, and prepare for shift supervision roles as opportunities arise.

You will learn the saw filing process, support leadership, and contribute to safety, environmental initiatives, and continuous improvement within a wood products facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; some college preferred.
• Demonstrates leadership potential and willingness to move into supervisory roles.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities; comfortable coaching peers.
• Familiarity with SAP/UKG and MS Office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Role model safe work practices and lead safety and team meetings.
• Ensure standards/processes are followed and support front-line leadership.
• Oversee safe and efficient execution of work by teams.
• Participate in incident investigations and follow-up.
• Provide coaching and feedback to associates and assign work.
