Job summary

Vip Staffing - zrfw is seeking a Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) Machine Operator for a direct hire in Haltom City, TX. The role requires operating SAW equipment, reading layouts, and maintaining UT-passable welds to meet specifications.

Second shift; pay range $23.00-$26.00 per hour; candidate must have 1-2 years SAW experience and a High School Diploma or GED. You’ll work under the Welding Lead and Shift Supervisor to ensure production targets, safety, and quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years Sub arc welding experience.
• Ability to read welding symbols and instructional material.
• Willing to pass weld tests and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding with Sub Arc Welding equipment.
• Weld steel components per layouts and drawings.
• Weld in flat and horizontal positions.
• Operate seamer and set proper welding settings.
• Operate forklifts, hoists, hand tools, slings and grinders.
• Inspect and correct welds to meet specs.
• Check pieces with straightedges or templates for conformance.
• Follow job orders and engineering drawings.
• Cross-train and assist other tasks as needed.
• Maintain equipment functionality and safety.
• Maintain production and weld quality.
• Ensure UT passable welds and output targets.
• Keep a positive attitude in changing environments.
• Adhere to safe working habits and maintain production.
• Perform additional assigned tasks as needed.
