Job summary

ALMAG Aluminum Corp. is seeking a Saw & Stretcher Operator to efficiently operate the saw and stretcher, ensuring material quality and safety. The role requires following work orders, reading specifications, inputting data into EPICS, and maintaining a clean, orderly workstation on the production line.

Candidates should have a high school diploma with mechanical aptitude and prefer extrusion experience. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in an industrial setting is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with technical background and mechanical aptitude.
• Extrusion experience is an asset and helpful.
• Knowledge of machinery; ability to read drawings is a plus.
• Understanding of measurements, tolerances and numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Operate saw and stretcher equipment following work orders and EPICS notes.
• Ensure material quality with measurements and visual checks.
• Maintain safety, 5S housekeeping and clean work area.
• Communicate issues to press leads and maintenance promptly.
• Input data into EPICS and track weights, variances, and NCRs.
