Job summary

Wyman-Gordon is seeking a Saw-Shear (Cutter) Operator - Level 01 to work on the second shift after cross-training on the first shift (5–6am start). The cross-training lasts about 2–6 weeks, after which you will switch to the 2–3pm shift.

The role involves setting up material, operating saws, and logging production data in the ERP system. Required activities include reading job travelers, handling stock with forklift/crane, and performing quality checks.

Qualifications

• Ability to read safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively before groups or employees.
• Ability to calculate figures, percentages, area and volume.
• Ability to apply written or diagrammed instructions to concrete tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate saw equipment and set up material per specs.
• Read job travelers to verify stock type, size and cut dimensions.
• Transfer stock to machines using forklift or overhead crane.
• Measure finished work for conformance to specifications.
• Maintain production logs and update ERP with job status.
