Job summary

Reliance, Inc. is seeking a Saw Operator to manage Hem, Amada, and Tsune saws in a metalworking environment. You will support warehouse material handlers, fill orders, pull material, and assist with general operations while complying with safety requirements.

Candidates should have 2–5 years of relevant experience, strong reading of blueprints and measurements, and the ability to operate forklift and overhead crane. The role emphasizes accuracy, multitasking, and teamwork in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of relevant experience or equivalent
• Warehousing and material handling experience preferred
• Experience setting up, operating, and troubleshooting saws preferred
• Adequate manual dexterity, finger dexterity, arm-hand steadiness, and multi-limb coordination
• Basic measurement skills including reading a tape measure, caliper, and micrometer
• Basic arithmetic and ability to perform simple math
• Ability to read and comprehend safety rules and maintenance instructions
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and write routine reports

Responsibilities

• Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Measures work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation.
• Uses chop saw to fill orders.
• Observes machine operation to detect defects or malfunctions.
• Performs preventative maintenance such as oiling machines.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Reports irregularities to supervisor for direction.
