Chicago Tube and Iron Company is seeking a Saw Operator in Romeoville, IL to safely operate saws and related equipment for processing, packaging and loading materials. The role involves moving items with forklifts and overhead cranes, loading trucks, and ensuring accurate material counts.

Qualifications include mechanical aptitude, experience with shop tools and measurement devices, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• Good mechanical aptitude; manufacturing or fabrication experience is a plus.
• Experience with standard shop tools and inspection measuring tools is preferred.
• Experience with overhead cranes, forklifts, side loaders, saws, banding, or order packing is helpful.
• Basic math and computer skills are required.
• Ability to read blueprints/shop drawings is a plus.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk during an 6-8 hour shift; up to 50 pounds carried regularly.

Responsabilités

• Operate saw or other equipment to process, package, and load materials.
• Move material using forklift, Raymond side loader, and overhead crane in the warehouse.
• Load and unload trucks, and place materials in storage locations.
• Receive/inspect and verify material count when needed.
