Job summary

Commercial Tool & Die, located in Comstock Park, MI, seeks an entry-level Saw Operator. No experience necessary; will train and potentially join the apprenticeship program through Grand Rapids Community College, with paid on-the-job training for a journeyman’s card.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Willing to work overtime.
• Able to lift 25 pounds regularly.
• Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Program, operate and tend saws and machines to cut material and adjust speed and tension.
• Adjust saw blades using hand wheels, pedals, levers, and buttons.
• Determine cutting procedures per QA time study or supervisor.
• Count, sort, and stack finished pieces; dispose of waste.
