Classroom curriculum starts January 2027 with Monday night GRCC sessions, transitioning to day classes in May and Friday sessions in August, leading to graduation in the Fall.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical machining training is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Basic understanding of machining processes and tools preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate various machining equipment (lathes, mills, grinders).
• Learn to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to produce parts.
• Assist skilled machinists in troubleshooting and resolving machining issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety standards.
• Participate in training sessions and workshops to improve machining skills.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment.
• Collaborate with team to meet production goals and deadlines.

Classroom/Apprentice Curriculum

Company PAID Classes at Grand Rapids Community College Advanced Tech Center will start in January 2027. However, can start working immediately.

• Will start GRCC in January going to class on Monday nights (approximately 6p-11p)
• In May will transition to a day class schedule at GRCC on Thursday’s (approximately 7am-3pm)
• In August will move to every Friday class from 7am-3pm and Graduate the following Fall.
