Job summary

The Aagard Group LLC is hiring for a production/operator role in Minnesota. You will operate saw equipment, move materials with forklifts, and accurately log usage in the ERP system while meeting production targets and quality standards.

You will perform preventive maintenance, follow safety protocols, and participate in continuous improvement to minimize downtime and improve efficiency. This entry-level position requires attention to detail and strong safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain saw equipment to support production schedules and fabrication needs.
• Handle, move, and deliver material using forklifts or other material handling equipment.
• Accurately record part movement and material usage in the ERP system.
• Monitor equipment performance and adjust processes to maintain efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Ensure cut parts meet dimensional and visual specifications.
• Identify and record issues in SharePoint for corrective actions.
• Support team members for efficient fabrication processes.
• Communicate quality concerns to prevent defects and maintain high standards.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on saw equipment and report issues promptly.
• Follow safety policies to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and safety.
• Identify potential safety hazards and mitigate risks.

Pay Range: $18.50 - $24.15

  • Ensure cut parts meet dimensional and visual specifications.

• Maintain Equipment and Safety
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on saw equipment and report issues promptly.

  • Identify potential safety hazards or equipment issues and take proactive measures to mitigate risks.

Knowledge and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
• Ability to read and understand the proper use of measuring instruments
• Ability to operate or learn to operate a forklift safely
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Basic shop math skills as rounding, positive/negative numbers, metric system
• Experience or training with computers and ability to learn and use Aagard specific software
• Ability to prioritize tasks
• Must be highly safety conscious
• Observant with attention to detail
