Job summary

Wieland is hiring a 1st Shift Saw Operator in Texas City, TX. You will operate machinery, ensure product quality, and support warehouse operations as needed. This on-site role requires safety focus and teamwork.

Starting at $20 per hour, schedule is Mon-Fri 6:00 am–3:00 pm with weekly pay. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and 1–2 years manufacturing experience; ability to read drawings and measure with tape and calipers; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• English literacy required.
• 1–2 years manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a safe, organized workspace.
• Operate machinery safely to ensure quality product.
• Inspect material before and after operation for defects.
• Load and unload product from machinery.
• Inspect inventory and orders for accuracy.
• Communicate with teammates and report discrepancies.
• Operate forklifts to relocate material.
• Perform other operations tasks as assigned.

Position

We are hiring a 1st Shift Saw Operator. The Saw Operator will be responsible for machine operation and product quality while also assisting with overall warehouse operations as needed. This role is located in Texas City, TX and will be fully on-site.

Pay & Schedule

Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday- Friday 1st shift (6:00 am - 3:00 pm)

Pay: Weekly

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a safe organized working environment
• Operate machinery in a safe manner to ensure quality product
• Inspect material before and after operation for imperfections
• Load and unload product from the machinery for processing
• Inspect inventory and product orders for accuracy
• Report product discrepancies to managementActively communicate with teammates
• Operate forklifts to relocate material
• Other Operations tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail (critical skill).
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to communicate professionally with all departments, coworkers and management.
• Ability to work as part of a team and offer assistance to teammates when necessary.
• Ability to work occasional Saturday hours as required by the position.
• Ability to work in warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to read dimensioned engineering drawings.
• Ability to read a tape measure and calipers.
• Lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds
• Standing, walking up to 10 hours
• Twisting, bending up to 10 hours
• Perform duties under pressure of deadlines
• Must be able to wear task-appropriate PPE
• Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments

Education/Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Understanding of manufacturing industries preferred
• 1-2 years of experience preferred
