Job summary

Wieland Group is seeking a CNC Machine Operator for the 2nd shift in Texas City, TX. The role emphasizes operating CNC machines, maintaining quality, and supporting warehouse tasks on-site.

Starting pay is $20.00 per hour with a $1.25 shift differential; schedule is Monday–Friday, 2:45 pm–11:15 pm, with weekly pay. This is a full-time on-site position offering benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–4 years machining experience preferred.
• Understanding of machining principles and CNC controls preferred.
• Ability to read dimensioned engineering drawings and use measuring tools.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines and maintain a safe, organized work area.
• Set up, process, and maintain CNC equipment.
• Machining material into finished product within specified tolerances.
• Inspect material before and after operation for defects.
• Load and unload product from machinery for processing.
• Inspect inventory and orders for accuracy; report discrepancies.
• Follow SOPs, JSA’s and QAP’s; communicate with teammates.

CNC Machine Operator (2nd Shift)

Wieland is hiring a 2nd Shift Machine Operator. The Machine Operator will be responsible for machine operation and product quality while also assisting with overall warehouse operations as needed. This role is located in Texas City, TX and will be fully on-site.

Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour

Shift Differential: $1.25

Schedule: Monday- Friday 2nd shift (2:45 pm - 11:15 pm)

Pay: Weekly

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a safe, organized, and clean working environment.
• Responsible for the set-up, process, and maintenance of CNC Machines.
• Machine Material into finished product at varying tolerances.
• Operate machinery in a safe manner to ensure quality product.
• Inspect material before and after operation for imperfections.
• Load and unload product from the machinery for processing.
• Assemble, rebuild, setup, maintain, and operate equipment.
  • Cranes, forklifts, hand tools, etc.
• Inspect inventory and product orders for accuracy.
• Report product discrepancies to management.
• Perform all applicable SOP's, JSA's, and QAP's.
• Actively communicate with teammates.
• Operate forklifts to move material.
• Other Operations tasks as assigned.

Machine Operator Qualifications

• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail (critical skill).
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to communicate professionally with all departments, coworkers and management.
• Ability to work as part of a team and offer assistance to teammates when necessary.
• Ability to work occasional Saturday hours as required by the position.
• Ability to work in warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to read dimensioned engineering drawings.
• Ability to read a tape measure and calipers.
• Lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds
• Standing, walking up to 10 hours
• Twisting, bending up to 10 hours
• Perform duties under pressure of deadlines
• Must be able to wear task-appropriate PP

Machine Operator Education/Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 to 4 years of machining experience
• Mechanical/maintenance skills a plus
• Understanding of machining principles
• Understanding of CNC controls (preferred)
• Understanding of manufacturing industries
• Experience in machining industry (preferred)
