Job summary

Goode Company is seeking a Sauté Cook in Shenandoah, Texas, to operate a focused kitchen station with speed, consistency, and respect for ingredients and the guest experience. The role involves setup, station maintenance, and coordination with the line and service team to ensure timely, high-quality dishes.

The ideal candidate has line-cook experience in a high-volume setting, strong recipe adherence, and good communication under pressure. A food handler certification is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a high-volume kitchen preferred.
  • Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistent quality.
  • Food Handler Certification or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, stock, and maintain the assigned station for efficient service.
  • Coordinate pan work, sauces, reductions, and pickups with heat control and timing.
  • Prepare and cook menu items to recipe, portion, temperature, timing, and presentation standards.
  • Read tickets and coordinate timing with the line, expo, and service team.
  • Monitor product quality, pars, rotation, waste, and food safety controls.
  • Use kitchen tools and equipment safely and report maintenance concerns.
  • Complete opening, cleaning, breakdown, labeling, and closing tasks thoroughly.
