Job summary

Candidate must stand 8–9 hours, lift up to 50 lb regularly and up to 100 lb occasionally, and work in temperatures near 40°F. Strong math and communication skills are required, with reliable attendance and a safety-oriented

Qualifications

• Prefer education generally equivalent to a High School Diploma.
• Prefer 1–3 months of manufacturing or food manufacturing experience.
• Requires GMP, HACCP and SQF knowledge.
• Requires mathematical skills and basic communication.
• Must be able to stand 8–9 hours/day and lift up to 50 lb regularly, 100 lb occasionally.
• Must work in temperatures of 40°F or less.

Responsibilities

• Inspect raw materials and stuffed product before and after stuffing.
• Handle stuffed product after it has been stuffed and hang products (Snack sticks, Chubs, Linked products, summer sausage).
• Load raw materials into equipment at the stuffing process at a suitable rate.
• Label or wrap stuffed product prior to smoking.
• Clean stuffing containers and machines.
• Report food safety and quality problems to supervisor or QA.
