Job summary

GH Logistics is seeking a proactive operations leader to oversee daily yard and dock activities at our Memphis facility. You’ll ensure trailers, drivers, and shipments move safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards our customers depend on.

You’ll own the shift—from inspections and staging to real-time updates with the brokerage and transportation teams—escalating issues before they impact service and coaching drivers and carriers toward best practices.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership.
• Experience in dock/yard operations or logistics preferred.
• CDL A license required

Responsibilities

• Oversee yard and trailer operations, inspect trailers, ensure proper staging and safe departures.
• Direct drivers to check-in and dock locations; support docking activities.
• Coordinate live-load activity and provide real-time updates between transportation and brokerage teams.
• Develop carrier relationships visiting the facility and identify reload opportunities.
• Identify risks early, escalate issues per procedures, and document incidents and shift-end reports.

We're looking for a proactive leader to oversee daily operations at our Memphis facility and ensure trailers, drivers, and shipments move safely and efficiently.This is more than a supervisor role: it's an opportunity to become a key operational leader within our organization.
