RAYUS Radiology, formerly Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team. We are committed to innovation in radiology, making it a vital first step in diagnosis and treatment. Join us and shine brighter together! As an MRI Technologist, you will operate MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images. You will provide patient-centered care, ensuring excellent customer service and guiding patients through the procedure with kindness and clarity. This position is per diem, Saturdays 8:00am-6:00pm.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


(90%) Patient MRI Imaging



  • Screen patients for precautions or contradictions, using two identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure.

  • Explain MRI procedures to patients, prepare and position them appropriately for imaging.

  • Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures with minimal supervision, supporting patients throughout the process.

  • Adjust MRI scan parameters as needed.

  • Maintain positive relationships with radiologists, referring providers, and colleagues.

  • Follow physicians' orders and safety regulations to protect patients and staff.

  • Accurately document patient information in the Radiology Information System (RIS).

  • Keep work areas clean and safe, adhering to safety protocols.

  • Maintain compliance with ACR accreditation standards and toolkit.

  • Ensure MRI equipment is well-maintained, cleaned, and disinfected after each use.

  • Follow all HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy.


(5%) MRI Department Support



  • Assist with updating imaging protocols and software upgrades.

  • Monitor and request supplies for the department.

  • Support training of new staff and share technical expertise.


(5%) Other Tasks



  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications:



  • ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing.

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved radiography program.

  • State licensure as a Radiological Technologist, if applicable.

  • Current CPR certification.

  • Experience and training to perform MRI procedures independently.

  • Certification in imaging specialty.


Preferred:



  • Bilingual abilities.
