Position Highlights

• Work location: Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth
• Work environment: Radiology CT Scan
• Work hours: 36 hours - Friday, Saturday, Sunday 7pm-7:30am

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology (required) or
• Associate Degree (preferred)
• 1 year radiologic technologist experience without ARRT-CT (required) or
• No experience with ARRT-CT (required)
• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R) (required)
• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (CT) (required) or
• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (CT) (if 1 year radiology technician experience) within 12 months (required)
• BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care (required)

Position Responsibilities

A Texas Health _CT Technologist_ explains procedures to patients or guardians, performs imaging of the correct anatomical area, and conducts complex procedures considering age and developmental factors.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Processing and manipulating images, analyzing quality, troubleshooting, and adjusting techniques or repeating procedures as needed.
• Sending and transferring images correctly to PACS.
• Assessing and recognizing patients' emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive, and psychosocial conditions.
• Operating, caring for, and maintaining equipment.
• Preparing examination rooms with supplies and equipment.
• Administering contrast media and medications following guidelines.
• Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards between patients.
