Job summary

Loft Federal is seeking a hands-on Test Engineer to take satellites from test bench to launch. You will integrate payloads, perform environmental tests, and author test procedures to ensure flight products meet mission requirements. Strong emphasis on collaboration, problem-solving, and ensuring readiness before flight.

Requirements include DoD-level clearance, 5+ years in aerospace testing, and experience with test campaigns and Python-based testing. Eligible candidates must be a U.S.

Qualifications

• 5+ years (3+ with graduate degree) in a testing role or related, preferably in aerospace.
• Experience with writing, performing, and documenting tests.
• Experience with environmental testing (Vibration, TVAC, EMI, Radiation).
• Experience organizing test campaigns from initial idea to completion.
• Familiar with aerospace testing standards such as GEVS.

Responsibilities

• Take satellites from test bench to launch, collaborating with the Loft team to ensure flight products are ready for delivery and operations.
• Perform electrical and mechanical integration of payloads onto satellites.
• Conduct environmental tests (vibration, TVAC, EMI) at box and system levels.
• Author and execute detailed test procedures; troubleshoot issues as they arise.
