KBR, a global engineering leader, seeks an Operations Engineer for an on-site role in Las Cruces, NM. The position supports SETA services across the system lifecycle, from concepts to deployment, engaging with satellite and ground systems teams and government customers.

The role requires a STEM degree with significant experience, strong communication, and the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders. Travel is minimal; work environment emphasizes security and mission success.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) and Nine (9) years or more experience, or master’s in STEM field and seven (7) years or more experience.
• Expertise in full system engineering life cycle from concept, requirements, design & development, to deployment and operational maintenance.
• Experience with project management supporting the delivery, integration, and transition of mission systems and/or mission applications.
• Ability to work independently to support multiple government customers and large, complex projects to address organization’s needs throughout system development lifecycle.
• Self-starter, proactively addresses customer requirements without supervision, readily defines solutions for broad, abstract topics.
• Polished communicator (written/verbal), impeccable interpersonal skills and personal judgment, and comfortable briefing or communicating with senior government managers.
• Strength in collaborating and coordinating with multiple stakeholders -- consensus builder.

Aufgaben

• Provide subject matter expertise of satellite (bus and payload) and ground development lifecycle, integration, and transition to operations.
• Experience in operational readiness, rehearsals, and system testing.
• Perform technical analyses; document, and present findings.
• Assist Customer in the application of mission resources.
• Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology.
• Analyze concepts of operations, user requirements, and high-level systems architectures to develop system requirements.
• Collaborate with SETA team members, development contractors, and customer forums.
• Effectively communicate and interface with engineers from various contractors and government organizations; prepare and present briefings to customer on technical topics when requested.
• Collaborate with government personnel and other contractors to provide unbiased analysis and recommendations on courses of actions.
