Job summary

KBR is seeking a Senior Ground Systems Engineer to provide SETA support for the Space Rapid Capabilities Office from our Colorado location. The role advises government leadership on ground segment design, scheduling, network operations, requirements, architecture, and system baseline control for classified space missions.

Responsibilities include technical leadership on ground system architecture, requirements reviews, risk tracking, and coordination with mission partners.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline; ABET-accredited preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of DoD/IC or government experience in systems/ground systems engineering.
• Experience with software architectures, C2 systems, and mission systems.
• Knowledge of space operational environment and ground antenna networks.
• Experience with requirements analysis, configuration management, and test planning.
• Ability to translate technical data into concise recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Provide SETA advisory support for ground system architecture and antenna scheduling systems.
• Serve as a technical contact for design documentation and test strategies.
• Review and influence requirements, test plans, and system baselines.
• Track risks and performance trends; advise leadership on impacts.
• Evaluate telemetry and data flows to validate system behavior.
• Coordinate with engineering and mission partner organizations to support readiness.
