Job summary

Mtsi Va at Kirtland Air Force Base, Albuquerque, NM, seeks an experienced SETA engineer to support cryptographic and satellite communications systems within a fast-paced development environment. You will liaise with government program offices and manage complex requirements across acquisition programs.

You will apply advanced engineering principles, communicate with executives, and coordinate with multiple partners to ensure on-schedule, within-budget performance and adherence to warfighter

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years DoD/IC or relevant industry experience.
• Skilled in development and fielding cryptographic and satellite communication systems.
• Understanding of space operational environment and mission user needs.
• Knowledge of space mission payload engineering, development, and manufacturing.
• Experience in DoD program management including program development and transition.
• Experience with Integrated Master Schedules and risk management.
• Experience with Statements of Work (SOW) and Performance Work Statements (PWS).
• Five (5) years of DoD/Industry experience with SAP/RSV and/or SCI.
• Experience as SETA to Government program office.
• Experience with rapid prototyping.
• Experience with integrated air, space, and cyberspace capabilities.
• Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining ground mission planning architecture and software.
• Experience with ACAT I/II level acquisition programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-depth background on cryptographic and communications subsystems.
• Communicate complex results with management and executive leadership.
• Lead or support technical programs requiring engineering oversight.
• Ensure tasks meet time frames and budget constraints.
• Coordinate with partners to support delivery milestones.
• Initiates and develops requirements for complex programs.
• Provide strategic advice and technical guidance to staff.
• Perform engineering research, design development, and other assignments per specs.
