Job summary

The Boeing Company in Colorado seeks a mid- to senior-level Systems Engineer to advise customers on satellite operations and ground command and control system operations.

You will participate in technical meetings, perform software and database testing, and support satellite procedures and simulations. A Secret clearance with ability to upgrade, and a degree in engineering or related field are required.

Qualifications

  • Active U.S. Secret Clearance; ability to upgrade to TS/SCI; US citizenship required.
  • 3+ years of related experience (5+ for Lead level).
  • Systems Engineering experience.
  • Software quality test and validation experience.
  • Willingness to relocate at own expense if not within commuting distance of Schriever AFB.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry or equivalent.

Position Responsibilities

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
  • Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
  • Minimum years of related experience: 3+ for level 3, 5+ for level 4.
  • Systems Engineering experience.
  • Software quality test and validation experience.
  • If not already within commuting distance of Schriever AFB, willingness and ability to relocate at own expense.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
  • Top Secret Security Clearance.
  • Experience responding to anomalies for on-orbit communications satellites.
  • Experience working closely with US Military customers in an operational and training environment.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Data analysis experience.
  • Experience developing software or engineering tools
Typical Education & Experience:

Mid-Level (level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Lead (level 4): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary Pay Range:

Mid-Level (level 3): $112,200 to $151,800

Lead (level 4): $136,850to $185,850

This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
