Job summary

TMC Technologies in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a Satellite Systems Administrator to support USSF Space Systems Command at Schriever Space Force Base. The role centers on configuring, maintaining, and securing cross‑domain TT&C and telemetry data critical to space operations.

Applicants must hold TS/SCI with SCI eligibility, a relevant bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of experience, Linux/UNIX and Windows Server knowledge, DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification, and satellite operations

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical field or 5+ years of relevant experience (4+ years in lieu of degree accepted).
Active TS/SCI with SCI eligibility required within 3 months.
6 months direct satellite operations experience preferred.
Proficiency in Linux/UNIX system administration and Windows Server protocols.
DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Sec+ CE, CySA+, CCNA-Security, CISSP).
Experience with network infrastructure, firewalls, routers, and switches.

Responsibilities

Lead security measures including patching, scanning, and DISA STIG controls.
Provision, configure, operate, and maintain Linux servers in a VMware environment.
Monitor system health, logs, and security across Linux and Windows environments.
Troubleshoot hardware/software and access issues with root-cause analysis.
Serve as SME for satellite telemetry operations and data integrity at RTS.
Coordinate satellite data collection and uplink processes with Space Operations Squadron.
Utilize automation to improve provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes.
Develop and maintain comprehensive software documentation.
