Job summary

IP Secure, LLC in Albuquerque, NM seeks a Satellite Systems Administrator to manage cross-domain TT&C systems, ensuring reliability and security for space-to-ground communications under TS/SCI clearance.

You will lead security measures, administer Linux/UNIX servers in VMware, monitor systems and logs, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with the 22nd Space Operations Squadron to support satellite telemetry operations.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain SCI indoctrination within 3 months.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical field plus 5+ years of relevant experience (4 years in lieu of degree accepted).
• Willingness to work various shifts to support 24/7 satellite operations.
• Minimum 6 months direct experience in satellite operations and communications.
• Proficiency in Linux/UNIX system administration and Microsoft Server network protocols.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.
• Experience with network infrastructure including firewalls, routers, and switches.

Responsibilities

• Lead security measures from the security plan, including patching and DISA STIG compliance.
• Provision, install/configure, operate, and maintain Linux servers in VMware environment.
• Monitor systems, maintain logs, and ensure health and security in Linux/Windows.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software/configuration issues with thorough root-cause analysis.
• Subject matter expert for Space Vehicle telemetry operations at RTS.
• Oversee satellite data collection and uplink processes with the 22nd Space Operations Squadron.
• Use automation tools to improve provisioning, configuration, and deployment.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive software documentation.
