Job summary

D.O.M. magazine in Midland, TX, is seeking a Structures Technician for a contract role in a clean room environment. You will assemble satellite sub-assemblies, read blueprints, and handle small electronics with soldering.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, and some technical education is preferred. Onsite work with standard aerospace-grade processes and protective gear is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree or certificate in a technical area preferred.
• Experience in assembly or manufacturing.
• Experience in the space or aeronautical field is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a production team to assemble parts.
• Sort and place materials or items on tables, racks, or bins.
• Manually assemble satellite sub-assembly parts.
• Use various hand tools, measuring, and test equipment.
• Clean assembled parts and place them in protective bags or boxes.
• Pack, seal, and move boxes.
• Pick up, move, and sort small parts.
• Use small tools and jigs to manipulate parts for assembly.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
• Proficiency in assembly, blueprint reading, and wiring.
