Job summary

HawkEye 360 in Herndon, VA is seeking a Satellite Avionics Technician to join the Space Team. You will perform hands-on assembly, integration, and testing of flight hardware for our satellite constellation in a cleanroom environment.

The role requires precise soldering, harness fabrication, and interpretation of engineering drawings. A high school diploma, 3+ years of electronics assembly, and IPC‑A‑610 or equivalent certification are expected, with benefits and annual bonus included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years hands-on electronics assembly experience, preferably in aerospace or satellite hardware.
• IPC‑A‑610 training/certification or equivalent workmanship standards.
• Experience with flight hardware in cleanroom environments and ESD protocols.
• PCB assembly and soldering experience (SMT and through‑hole).
• Experience building electrical harnesses and testing continuity.
• Ability to read schematics, drawings and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, integrate, and test spacecraft avionics hardware including circuit boards and harnesses.
• Build wire harnesses for satellite integration and perform continuity testing.
• Support cleanroom AI&T following procedures and IPC standards.
• Install and solder PCB components (SMT and through‑hole) per standards.
• Inspect incoming boards for quality assurance and rework as needed.
• Test circuit boards and assemblies to qualify them for flight.
• Layout and assemble EGSE for lab testing of flight hardware.
• Interpret schematics and drawings to support integration and troubleshooting.
