Job summary

Auria Space is seeking Software Engineers to help build a satellite resource management system. Working under the Program Manager and senior engineering staff, you will design, build, test, and enhance software.

This is a strong opportunity for an early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience with satellite communications on an international program. This role can be remote or hybrid with a preference for candidates in Colorado Springs, CO or Bethesda, MD.

Qualifications

• Design and develop robust, maintainable software using C++17 or newer.
• At least 2 years of experience with Linux and C++17.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Experience using CMake.
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills (probability & statistics, linear algebra, multivariable calculus).
• Background in, or exposure to, software application development on Linux and Web platforms.
• Exposure to agile and incremental software engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new software modules or enhancements in line with software requirements.
• Develop unit tests and perform code reviews.
• Integrate and test software components as part of the program's delivery cycle.
• Debug software and correct defects identified during integration, test, and review.
