Job summary

Amazon Leo Security team is seeking a security-focused engineer to help define security priorities and build protections for the satellite constellation's product and data. You will collaborate with business leaders and builders to drive secure outcomes and reduce long-term risk.

You will mentor teams, enable proactive security practices, and support Red Teams in scoping tests while advancing security tooling and processes across the organization.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of programming experience in Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++ or similar OO language.
• 2+ years of troubleshooting systems issues, analyzing logs, or automating basic tasks using command line tools (non-internship) experience.
• Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS and TCP/IP.
• Experience with security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Establish product-specific security bar, threat models, and security priorities across the business.
• Identify design and implementation defects and provide consultation on security decisions.
• Collaborate with business leaders to define security priorities and act as a trusted advisor.
• Guide teams toward secure-by-default solutions and advocate for new testing tools and detection mechanisms.
