Job summary

SAIC and SpaceDEN in El Segundo, CA seek a Satellite Project Coordination Engineer to lead system engineering efforts for space programs. The on-site role serves as the Government Program Office liaison, monitoring development, managing risks, and coordinating with multiple vendors and experts to keep schedules aggressive and on track.

Ideal candidates bring extensive experience in satellite systems, strong communication skills, and ability to operate in a fast-paced, government/contractor

Qualifications

• 18+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree.
• Strong leadership and collaboration in government/contractor teams.
• Experience with satellite systems acquisition and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with vendors on access to classified materials and facilities.
• Supports programmatic and milestone review coordination.
• Supports the coordination of classified site standup.
• Coordinates back with the program office on status and updates associated with contractor activities.
• Works with facility and IT support to establish and sustain classified access for the contractors at the government site.
• Coordinates and partners with the factory system engineering staff of multiple vendors to become a valued member of the team.
• Participates in weekly mission-focused status meetings to report on programmatic and technical performance, reports potential risks and opportunities, communicates Developer challenges and assists with Developer requests when needed.
• Develops documents and briefings to communicate work or study status and briefs Government as required.
