Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Principal Program Systems Integration Engineer to join our team in El Segundo, CA. On-site in a secure facility, you will lead integration efforts for MILSATCOM systems, collaborating with government and contractors to resolve issues and drive program success.

You will apply digital engineering methods, manage requirements, and deliver coordinated briefings and minutes across multiple working groups, ensuring schedule adherence and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, or related technical field.
• 8+ years’ engineering work experience.
• 5+ years’ Systems Engineering experience including requirements management and technical baseline development.
• Experience with requirements documents and Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for complex systems.
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skills.
• On-site work in a secure facility due to customer security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement integration strategies to integrate satellite communication systems and subsystems.
• Analyze system requirements to define and verify the technical baseline.
• Apply Digital Engineering methods (e.g., digital twins) to support integration and test activities.
• Collaborate with Government and contractor personnel to close gaps with customer requirements.
• Lead Government/Contractor Working Group meetings and draft minutes.
• Review proposed changes to the technical baseline and assess impacts on enterprise capabilities.
• Define and deliver alternative solutions addressing integration challenges and schedules.
• Facilitate contractor document reviews and provide actionable feedback.
